Altech is a privately-owned company that has grown into one of the leading specialist recyclers of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in the South East of England.
Altech processes up to 5,000 tonnes of WEEE and cable waste annually, working exclusively with approved UK suppliers. In 2025, we significantly upgraded our cable granulation system to increase throughput and enhance recovery efficiency. This improvement allows us to recover copper from waste cables to a high level of purity, while maintaining strict environmental and compliance standards.
Back into production within 8 weeks
Altech maintains close relationships with the leading refineries and foundries in both the UK and Europe. Because of this, clients can rest assured that their material is recycled and returned directly to the supply chain in the most sustainable and ethical way.
In many cases, recycled equipment is processed by us, delivered to a smelter, and inserted back into the supply chain for new production within 8 weeks.
Altech is a fully licensed and accredited ATF (Authorised Treatment Facility) and recycles over 99% of all material received.
